The Fa'anunu Fam goes camping...finally!

Tom and I received camping equipment 10 years ago for Christmas. We were all ready to be avid campers... then I got pregnant and puked for a few months and then we had a newborn...repeated 4 times and now after 10 years we finally went. We had so much fun. It definitely beat cleaning up after the flood...which is what we would have been doing. It was nice to just get away and leave it all behind. The girls got home from school and we drove downtown to pick Tom up from work and then sat in traffic, got lost and finally got to our campsite with about 30 minutes left of daylight. We were all a bunch of rookie campers but got our tents up and a fire started without to much trouble. Nancy and Ashley joined us and we joked that Nancy and I were both taking our children camping for the first time. Our gourmet meal was hot dogs and s'mores. The camping party poopers came and told us to be quiet at 10:00pm which put a damper on the evening, so we headed to bed. It was a long cold night, at least it was for me. The kids never seemed to notice. The next morning it was pancakes, hash browns and hot chocolate. We packed up and went up to Michigan City and picked apples(see picture) in a huge apple orchard. Emelina was very excited about all the apples she could reach. Overall a exhaustingly great weekend.
